Patent Collection on CDROM

The Complete Thomas Alva Edison U.S. Patent Collection is distinguished from any other work in the world as the most complete, unique and beautifully presented collection of Edison's entire patent life.  The research work was completed by Jim Bieberich who performed all of his research for the complete collection at the Sunnyvale Patent and Trademark Depository Library (PTDL) and determined that Mr. Edison's patent life needed to be presented in a more complete fashion than can be found elsewhere on the Web or in print.

The CDROM of Mr. Edison's patent collection contains all of his Utility, Design and Reissued patents in PDF format.  All patents listed on this site are contained on the disk.  Each patent is the complete patent as issued by the U.S. Patent Office and contains all drawings, description, claims and applicable corrections.

All Utility, Design and Reissued patents listed on this site are contained as individual PDF files on the CDROM and are accessible directly by one of two methods:

a). Navigation is made easy when using a web browser and opening the disk's HTML index file (named "index.shtml") and clicking on the patent number links. The indexes are identical to those found on this site but contain clickable links to each PDF patent by clicking on the patent number.  Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to open, read and print patents.

b). Using the computer system’s "Explorer" or Adobe Acrobat Reader to directly click on a file from the list of PDF files.

The disk is compatible with all operating systems: PC & Mac.

The complete collection of all of Edison's patents listed below is available by CDROM in PDF for immediate mailing. Due to the number of files and their size, CDROM is the easiest and most convenient way to view and print them. This Collection is the result of meticulous, lengthy and original research by Jim Bieberich, Patent Historian, in the records of the U.S. Patent Office.
